Aberdeen City Council has begun the mammoth task of reviewing the Aberdeen Local Development Plan, which provides a blueprint for the future of the city. The first stage in the process is working with communities to find out what they think the main planning issues for the next plan should be.
The Plan is a vital public document which influences significant public and private investment in homes, businesses, shops, infrastructure, and facilities in the city.
Feedback from the informal workshops will be used to develop the Main Issues Report, which will set out general proposals for development in the city, outlining where it should and should not occur. It will set out what development should seek to achieve, including environmental sustainability, support for local communities and the promotion of economic growth; and contain one or more reasonable alternative sets of proposals.
The Kingswells workshop will take place in Kingswells Community Centre from 7 to 9pm.
The following events will also be held:
Bucksburn Academy – Wednesday 17 April from 7pm to 9pm;
