Building work has commenced on Prime Four, Aberdeen's first and only world-class business park.
Drum Property Group, the developer behind Prime Four, is investing over £100million in creating the first phase of the park, which will include state-of-the-art office space and training facilities for global oil and gas majors Apache, Nexen and Transocean.
The commencement of work at the park is expected to be a catalyst for additional significant investment and underlines the long-term future of Aberdeen as the energy capital of Europe. Economic consultants have estimated that this phase, when fully operational, will sustain around 1,200 jobs locally and be worth £300million a year to the local economy. Future phases of development at Prime Four will anchor many billions of pounds of economic output and thousands of additional jobs in the city for years to come.
Drum Property Group is also committed to enhancing access to the area, and is funding major local road improvements as part of the development. In addition to the contribution of over £1million to the Strategic Transport Fund, Drum Property Group will be investing over £6million in the improvement of the local road infrastructure surrounding Prime Four.
Drum Property Group is committed to using all available off-peak working hours to complete the road improvements as quickly as possible. We thank all users of roads affected in the local area for their patience, understanding and co-operation whilst this essential work is completed.

Overnight operation works on the A944 road network announced
Planned operational works are to be undertaken on the A944 road network between 7/5/13 and 31/7/13 between the hours of 1900-0700hrs. Unfortunately these works are unavoidable.
Please be assured that contractors are endeavouring to minimise disruption and nuisance to local residents which has involved the development of a noise mitigation plan. This involves prioritising some noisier operations between the hours of 1900 and 2300hrs where possible.
Please note reversing hazard audio warning systems are deployed on all construction plant and the noise generated is unavoidable. Contractors will, where possible, sequence operations so that the need for reversing manoeuvres is minimised.
Contractors will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible and thank all local residents and road users for their cooperation and understanding.
This information will also be distributed via a letter drop to local residents.
